Lachlan McKee

Provisional Psychologist

Lachlan provides a compassionate and non-judgemental space to help adults and teens seeking support to overcome distress and meet their emotional needs.

Lachlan is available on Saturdays.

Lachlan is a provisional psychologist who is passionate about supporting adolescents and adults to feel safe, heard and understood. He creates a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where clients can openly explore and navigate life’s complexities.

Lachlan enjoys working with young people aged 13+, understanding that adolescence can be both exciting and overwhelming. He takes the time to build a genuine connection, helping young people to feel comfortable, respected and safe to be themselves. His approach focuses on building self-awareness, strengthening confidence and implementing practical strategies.

Lachlan has experience supporting clients with a range of concerns, including:

  • Anxiety Disorders and OCD: Lachlan supports clients experiencing social anxiety, generalised anxiety, health anxiety and OCD. He helps his clients understand how anxiety works, develop personalised coping strategies and gradually build confidence in facing situations that feel overwhelming;

  • Depression and Low Self-Esteem: For those feeling flat, unmotivated, or stuck in self-critical thoughts, Lachlan offers a supportive space to explore these experiences with care. He works alongside clients to rebuild self-compassion, reconnect with their strengths and rediscover a sense of purpose;

  • Adolescent Challenges: Lachlan supports teenagers navigating friendship difficulties, school stress, bullying, self-esteem concerns, identity exploration and conflict at home. He understands how important it is for young people to feel respected and safe to be themselves;

  • Relationships and Interpersonal Difficulties: Lachlan helps clients better understand their attachment and communication patterns, whether with partners, family or friends, and supports them to build meaningful and fulfilling connections; and

  • Life Transitions and Uncertainty: From career shifts, relocation or identity exploration, Lachlan supports clients through periods of change by helping them clarify what matters most and navigate uncertainty with greater confidence.

Lachlan believes in the importance of tailoring evidence-based approaches to each individual, working collaboratively to ensure that therapy is responsive, relevant, and grounded in what matters most to the client.
