Katelin is available in the clinic most days and after hours.
Katelin is a registered psychologist who provides therapy in an adaptable, intuitive, and occasionally humorous way. Her therapeutic approach is insight-oriented and reflective. Katelin aims to support client’s understanding of themselves and increase their insight into their feelings, thoughts, and behavioural patterns.

Katelin is currently accepting referrals for adult clients of all ages, as well as adolescents aged 12-17. Clients from any background, gender identity, or sexual orientation are welcomed.

Katelin works within a trauma-informed and feminist framework to create a space where clients can build trust and feel safe to share their vulnerabilities and create long-term, meaningful change. She explores recurring unhelpful relationship patterns, attachment, and the influence of personal identity and self-worth.

Areas of special interest and experience include:

-
Depression: Supporting people experiencing depressive symptoms, disconnection, and a sense of feeling stuck. I aim to create a space where this can be understood at a deeper level, rather than simply pushed through.

-
Relationship patterns and attachment: Supporting individuals to explore interpersonal challenges within their friendships, relationships or family unit.

-
Adolescents: Supporting young people navigating challenges with school, friendships, family dynamics, identity, and self-esteem. My approach emphasises helping adolescents feel understood, while fostering insight, confidence, and greater clarity in who they are and what they need.

-
Clients from the LGBTIQ+ community: Supporting LGBTIQ+ individuals in navigating experiences of sexuality, gender, and identity with affirmation and understanding.

-
Anxiety and Panic Disorders: Supporting people with anxiety, panic, and obsessive or social worries, including OCD and generalised anxiety, with a focus on understanding how these experiences affect their daily life.

-
Neurodiversity: Neuro-affirming support, including reflective exploration and acceptance of living with ADHD and Autism, and later-in-life diagnoses.

-
Trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD): including recent incidents, religious trauma, health professionals and first responders, chronic pain, phobias and work-related trauma. Katelin is also qualified to provide EMDR therapy for single-incident trauma.
Katelin can support clients with the following funding models:

-
Military personnel and veterans: Working with current and ex-serving members and their families, recognising the impact of military culture and identity during and after service. Katelin has worked with Open Arms directly supporting veterans and their families. DVA funding accepted.

-
WorkCover: Katelin is registered to support clients with active WorkCover Qld claims and return to work planning.

Katelin is dedicated to providing an authentic and creative approach to help clients understand their underlying processes. She aims to help them feel in control of their mental health and their lives. As a member of both the LGBTQIA+ and neurodiverse communities, Katelin is passionate about supporting and empowering other members of these communities through her practice.

Katelin’s approach to therapy is client-informed and adaptable, drawing from a range of evidence-based therapies such as:

-
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
-
Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
-
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
