Kate is a fully registered psychologist with Honours and a Masters in Educational and Developmental Psychology. She works with adults and provides a warm, inclusive and collaborative therapeutic space where clients can explore their experiences safely and openly.

Kate’s therapeutic style is trauma-informed and attachment-focused. She aims to help clients better understand themselves, recognise their emotional triggers, and actively engage in meaningful behaviour change. Kate values authenticity and connection in therapy and uses warmth and humour to help clients feel comfortable throughout the process.

Kate welcomes clients from all backgrounds and is affirming of LGBTIAQ+ individuals.

Kate is currently accepting referrals for adults and supports clients experiencing concerns such as:

  • Eating Disorders & Disordered Eating: supporting clients with body image concerns, restrictive eating, binge eating, emotional eating and disordered relationships with food. Kate’s approach is underpinned by principles aligned with a size-inclusive, weight-neutral approach to health enhancement, rather than intentional weight loss.

  • Depression & Low Mood: supporting clients experiencing low mood, hopelessness, loss of motivation and emotional overwhelm.

  • Personality Disorders & Emotional Regulation: helping clients understand long-standing relational and emotional patterns, strengthen self-awareness and improve coping strategies.

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) & ADHD: offering supportive, affirming therapy focused on self-understanding, emotional wellbeing and navigating daily challenges. (Please note: Kate does not provide diagnostic assessments or reports.)

  • Trauma & PTSD: supporting clients to process traumatic experiences, understand trauma responses and rebuild a sense of safety and connection.

  • Addiction & Substance Use: supporting clients to better understand patterns of use, underlying emotional drivers and sustainable behaviour change.

  • Adjustment Difficulties & Life Transitions: assisting clients to navigate periods of change, uncertainty, stress and identity shifts.

Kate draws from several evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including:

  • Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Schema Mode Therapy

Kate’s approach to therapy focuses on helping clients develop greater self-understanding, self-compassion and psychological flexibility.
