Isabella Windt

Provisional Psychologist

(She/her)

Bella provides a safe and non-judgemental space for clients to explore their values, identity and needs.

Bella is available in the clinic on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Bella is a provisional psychologist whose therapeutic approach is grounded in compassion and trust with a strong emphasis on building a collaborative and meaningful therapeutic relationship. She balances a practical, skills-based approach with patience and sensitivity, allowing each person to find safety and move at their own pace in therapy. You can expect thoughtful insight and humour throughout the process.

Bella supports clients to deepen their understanding of themselves, their relationships and their emotional patterns. Her reflective, insight-oriented style is complemented by practical interventions tailored to each person’s individual needs and goals.

Bella is particularly interested in working with adolescents, adults and older adults experiencing challenges including:

  • Anxiety, OCD & Panic Disorder: Bella supports clients living with anxiety or OCD symptoms. She works with people experiencing high levels of self-consciousness, restlessness or irritability, and those who experience anxiety when facing new or challenging situations. Bella can support clients to explore the underlying factors which drive anxiety. She can also assist with practical strategies to manage anxiety symptoms.

  • Adolescent Mental Health: Bella enjoys supporting young people and often works with adolescent clients who experience self-esteem difficulties; high-risk behaviours, school avoidance, loss of motivation or interest, social withdrawal, aggressive behaviour, self-harm, and challenges relating to identity exploration.

  • Relationship Patterns & Attachment: For people hoping to explore relationship patterns, Bella uses insight-oriented and trauma-informed approaches to explore relationship dynamics, foster healthy interactions, and build more meaningful connections. â€‹

  • Emotional Regulation & Distress Tolerance: Bella supports clients to understand and manage overwhelming emotions and build healthy coping strategies to support daily functioning.

  • Depth-Oriented Therapy: Bella has a particular interest in working with clients who want to understand themselves at a deeper level. Depth-oriented approaches explore how life patterns repeat over time and may link to early experiences. This approach may be best suited to people who feel anxious in relationships, experience a fear of rejection or abandonment, struggle with intense self-criticism or low self-worth, experience anger in close relationships or have a sense of feeling "stuck".

Bella uses a variety of different approaches, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Dialectal Behavioural Therapy (DBT)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Bella is currently accepting referrals and provides a welcoming space for clients aged 12+ of all cultural backgrounds, gender identities, and sexual orientations.
