Welcome to True North Psychology! We are a small and dedicated team of Clinical and Registered Psychologists and Clinical Psychology Registrars working together to help you to be the change you wish to see in the world.

True North Psychology commenced in 2013 and was named in acknowledgement of true north, which is represented on maps by a star at the top of the page and indicates the direction towards the geographic north pole. True north is different from both magnetic north and grid north – it is the only sure direction to get you to the North Pole.

Which is a good metaphor for life and striving towards your own personal goals. You may be drawn in a certain direction (magnetic north), which is not necessarily the healthy or wise choice and may not get you where you want to go. You may be following an outdated map (grid north), perhaps one given to you by well-meaning family or friends, that doesn’t quite hit the spot. On life’s journey, what we’re all seeking is true north – the guidance to find our own desired destination. Here at True North Psychology we give you the tips, tools and skills to find your way.
