Sport and Exercise Psychologist
Ashleigh is a registered psychologist who has developed experience in supporting individuals across the lifespan experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, and concerns related to emotion regulation and interpersonal effectiveness. She has a special interest in the treatment of eating disorders and body image concerns. Ashleigh is also endorsed as a Sport and Exercise Psychologist and enjoys supporting athletes and performers to achieve their optimal health and peak performance.
Ashleigh is trained in various therapeutic frameworks including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Ashleigh has further training and experience in delivering evidenced-based treatments for eating disorders including:
Enhanced Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT-E),
Maudsley Family Based Therapy (FBT),
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Avoidant-Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (CBT-AR),
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy for Eating Disorders (DBT-E), and,
The Maudsley Model of Anorexia Nervosa Treatment for Adults (MANTRA).
Ashleigh is available for appointments at True North Psychology on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
