Sport and Exercise Psychologist
Ashleigh is a registered psychologist who has a special interest in the treatment of eating disorders and body image concerns. Ashleigh has also developed experience in supporting individuals across the lifespan experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, and concerns related to emotion regulation and interpersonal effectiveness. Ashleigh is also endorsed as a Sport and Exercise Psychologist and enjoys supporting athletes and performers to achieve their optimal mental health and peak performance.
Ashleigh is trained in various therapeutic frameworks including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
Ashleigh is an ANZAED Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician and has further training and experience in delivering evidenced-based treatments for eating disorders including:
Enhanced Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT-E),
Maudsley Family Based Therapy (FBT),
Specialist Supportive Clinical Management (SSCM),
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Avoidant-Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (CBT-AR),
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy for Eating Disorders (DBT-E), and,
The Maudsley Model of Anorexia Nervosa Treatment for Adults (MANTRA).
All eating disorder treatments delivered by Ashleigh are underpinned by principles of weight-inclusive care, Health at Every Size®, and the Non Diet Approach.
Ashleigh is available for appointments at True North Psychology on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
